Geo Recently deployed the Multi-Factor Authentication(MFA) which allows users to enable additional security on their account. Please follow the steps below to get started.
Login to your account. Once logged in, you should see the initial MFA setup page that will ask you to choose where you would prefer to receive your login code for setup. You may choose either your Email Address or Phone Number.
Once you select where you would prefer to receive your two-factor authentication code, you will be brought to the following page where you will be required to enter your preferred email address or phone number.
Once you enter your email address or phone number, you will receive a 6 digit number via your preferred method. Please copy this number to enter on the next page.
On the next page, please enter the 6 digits code you received during the previous step.
If you tick “Skip this step for future login” you will not be required to complete this process again until you log in with a new browser or a new device.
Once you have entered your code, click the “Confirm Code” button and the MFA setup will be completed.
To check where to find MFA, go to Settings > Security. If you are an admin user, you will have an additional option that allows you to enforce MFA across your organization. After applying this option, all users will need to go through the above process on the next login. Once enabled, you will also have the option of disabling the mandatory enforcement, however, this will prevent any integration with XERO. GEO recommends all our users enable MFA as a mandatory login requirement.
